'Minecraft: Pocket Edition' update to arrive May, adds experimental features

Microsoft, Mojang, and Code.org unveiled Minecraft Mods on Monday a "Minecraft" themed coding tutorial made for the third-annual Hour of Code, a campaign to raise participation in computer science throughout the Computer Science Education Week from December 7-13. The joint project, aimed at students and teachers, introduces coding skills within the "Minecraft" environment.

"A core portion of our mission for empower everyone on this planet is equipping youth with computational thinking and problem-solving skills to be successful in an increasingly digital world," said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella in a pr release. "With 'Minecraft' and Code.org, we try to spark creativity in the next generation of innovators in the way that is natural, collaborative and fun."

Before work begins for the update, however, 4J Studios wants to fix a couple of outstanding known issues their top priority currently lies with releasing the PS Vita edition from the game and making sure that the handheld version of Minecraft should be able to transfer files while using PS3 for full cross-save support between your two systems.  Additionally, the developer also would like to fix the known bugs from the recently released Xbox One and Playstation 4 ports before they start working on a whole new title update.
